Raise HECK was proud to partner with the League of Women Voters (LWV, the League) on a technology assessment and software selection project. The League didn’t come to this project because of any of the usual reasons: they hadn’t outgrown their technology, it was not outdated, and they didn’t hate it. They arrived at this project because their software had been acquired by a competitor.
The League had made a thoughtful decision in 2022 to upgrade their digital platform, and within a few months of being live on the solution they were told that it had been acquired by another company. So what happened next?
- First they were told that they needed to migrate to a new solution and that theirs was being sunset within the year. They were frantically trying to figure out what to do!
- But then…they were told it wasn’t going away. They could stay on the platform, but it wouldn’t be enhanced with new features and functionally.
That experience was frustrating, and didn’t allow them to either fully adopt their previous solution or scale digitally. They found themselves in technical, and therefore strategic, limbo.
They wanted to avoid a similar situation as much as possible when selecting a new solution, and weren’t fully aware of what the nonprofit digital solution marketplace looked like. So they partnered with Raise HECK to do an assessment of their needs, goals, frustration points, etc. The League needed a solution that would:
- Integrate with Salesforce, their database of record
- Have strong advocacy features that allowed supporters to communicate with Congress
- Provide the ability to personalize and scale
- Be easy to use
- And as much as one can predict in this market landscape…have a stable future
The League evaluated several solutions via a diligent process with participation from a cross-departmental group of staff. After seeing all the proposals and presentations, the staff ended up with broad agreement to select Engaging Networks as their digital marketing provider.
Here’s why:
Strong Product: The Engaging Networks digital marketing platform met all of the League’s key requirements, and the organization was impressed by its proposal and product demonstrations. The product is being actively developed and is an industry leader.
Vibe Check: the League felt that Engaging Networks had a strong community of users around it, and that the company and software solution will be around for many years to come. It felt like a very natural fit.
Expert Partners: At the recommendation of Engaging Networks, the League will partner with Fresh Eyes Digital on their implementation project. Fresh Eyes’s expertise is in digital marketing, and the League is looking forward to working with a group that are experts in the technology and how to make the most of it.
Raise HECK loved partnering with the League on this important project and we know they will be in great hands with their new digital solution for many years to come!
