Uncertain Times: Save Money and Raise More Without a Tech Change

2025 So Far

Real talk, everyone: so far 2025 has brought with it a lot of chaos. A nicer way to say it would be “unpredictability,” although the chaos seems to be intentional. The government has become an agent of this chaos, slashing jobs, canceling funding, and clawing back grants in a volatile way.

This maelstrom is affecting nonprofits in terrible ways:

  • Some nonprofits have had their grants canceled
  • People have lost their jobs and may not be able to sustain their charitable giving
  • Markets are taking a nosedive and those with greater wealth may be pausing their major giving
  • An atmosphere of fear hangs over everything as we watch government targeting entities who proudly stand by their diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice programs

Is Now the Time to Make a Tech Change?

Amid all this uncertainty, it might feel safer right now for nonprofits to hunker down and postpone technology projects. The upheaval that a technology change can bring with it might feel like more than you can handle at the moment. And it might not feel like the right time to invest budget in an assessment and change.

To that, we at Raise HECK say fair enough. But we also want to urge nonprofits to think differently about technology optimization. Sometimes organizations don’t use all the features they can with their existing tech. We can conduct an assessment of your current tools and provide recommendations for how to maximize what you have. You can stay on your current systems, and use them better!

Use What You Have, BETTER

If you’ve used a solution for a period of time, it’s possible that features have changed and your organization hasn’t updated its configuration or workflows to take advantage. Or if you invested a lot of time in creating operations manuals and SOPs, updating those might feel like more of a time investment than you’ve been able to make.

Heck, maybe you’ve been busy and haven’t even had time to review the product update webinars and documentation from the software company at all! We’ve all been there.

Here’s where Raise HECK can help. We can review your solution, take a look under the hood, go through the company’s product documentation and roadmap, and deliver to you an action plan for how to better use your software–and raise more money.

You won’t need to invest in a time-consuming selection and migration project, and best of all, you will likely raise more money and more effectively engage your supporters by using your tech in a more optimized way.

Time to Lock In: We’re All In This Together

Nonprofits exist to help people when government and economic systems fall short. Now that the government is poised to fall even shorter in the services and safety nets it provides, there will be even more need for nonprofits to address.

We need our tech to help us do that, not to stand in our way. Let Raise HECK help you figure out if your current tech has roadblocks, and if so, how to remove them! Get in touch with us today.
